Award-winning Canadian duo, Neon Dreams are the 1st international music group to tour South Africa since the Covid-19 Lockdown started. With sold-out tours in most major cities and towns across SA, fans have been clambering for tickets to hear the hits performed live, including their number 1 single “Life Without Fantasies”.

Now the band has decided to give back to this country that has embraced their music. Proceeds from a special, once-off online concert to be held on 29 May will be donated to The Justice Desk. The show details are available HERE.

    Neon Dreams

The Justice Desk is a human rights organisation in SA, Zimbabwe and Zambia focusing on Gender-based Violence, Anti-human Trafficking, Children’s Rights and more. Neon Dreams have also committed to giving signed ukuleles to the 3 fans who send the most Love during the special live stream.

Neon Dreams Front-man Frank Kadillac explains

“When I was a kid I was put into programs to help me eat before I started school and put me around inspiring people to help me see beyond my current struggles. I support these guys because they’re giving back in the way I envisioned myself giving back through music and that’s by starting at the root of life. The youth will change this world.”

Neon Dreams have been overwhelmed by the reception to their material in SA (according to Kadillac)

“Life Without Fantasies” is one of my favourite songs that I’ve written. It’s uplifting with a world sound vibe to it so I’m not surprised it caught on in South Africa. Fans in Johannesburg, Durban, Bloemfontein, Cape Town and Pretoria began reaching out to us over social media saying the most beautiful things. We connected with as many fans as possible performing on Instagram live feeds, sending personal videos and private zoom concerts.”

Neon Dreams are no strangers to success having accumulated over 40 million total streams. They’ve won a Juno Award (often referred to as the Grammys of Canada) and have toured the US and Canada extensively. “Life Without Fantasies” dominated South African streaming charts, spending over a month on Spotify’s Viral 50 peaking at #2 and is currently on a number of Apple Music and Spotify playlists as well as the local Shazam.
