Duane Harden Release New Single: “Home Now”

Duane Harden, the iconic vocalist and songwriter whose voice helped define house music’s golden era, is stepping back into the spotlight.

Best known for soaring to No.1 in the UK with Armand Van Helden’s global smash “You Don’t Know Me,” Harden has once again embraced innovation – this time through Artificial Intelligence.

Duane Harden’s brand-new album, Love Letters To Me (released 16 January 2026), marks a bold new chapter. Created alongside his AI creative partner, Soul Healer, the project blends classic songwriting instincts with forward-thinking production.

Although Duane Harden’s career has spanned continents, he shares a lasting connection with South Africa, where “You Don’t Know Me” remains a club and radio favourite. As he reintroduces himself to local audiences, he is championing the album’s lead pop-focused single, “Home Now” – a powerful anthem centred on self-acceptance and inner peace.

From Overnight Success to Industry Frustration

Harden’s rise to fame feels almost cinematic. His first professionally released track shot to No.1 in the UK and dominated international pop and club charts. A surreal live performance on Top of the Pops – while battling the flu in front of two million viewers – cemented his arrival.

Signed to Strictly Rhythm by legendary A&R Gladys Pizarro, Duane Harden went on to write and perform on major hits including Bob Sinclar’s “Love Generation,” Sean Kingston’s platinum-selling “Party All Night (Sleep All Day),” and Purple Disco Machine’s “Devil In Me.”

Despite his global pop success, Harden never abandoned his underground dance roots. He continued crafting club favourites such as Ministers de la Funk feat. Jocelyn Brown’s “Believe” and Erick Morillo, Eddie Thoenick feat. Shawnee Taylor’s “Live Your Life.” The consistent hit-making earned him a respected reputation in dance music circles.

However, as the industry shifted toward EDM dominance, Duane Harden found himself increasingly disillusioned.

“Being in the dance industry was both a blessing and a curse,” he reflects. “Full song structures disappeared and the vocalist became an afterthought while the DJ became the mega-superstar. I’m a songwriter at heart, and I grew tired of being told a great song was ‘too pop’ or didn’t fit a certain vibe. My love for the craft was hurt by the business.”

Enter Soul Healer: A Creative Rebirth Through AI

At a point where he was ready to step away from recording altogether, Harden found an unexpected solution in AI. He created Soul Healer – his self-described “Digital Diva” – to regain full creative control.

“I embrace AI because it allows me to create the music I want, in the genres I want, without being boxed in,” he explains. “I see AI as the next evolution of the session musician. I spend hours refining prompts and guiding the process until it matches exactly what I hear in my head. This isn’t push-button music – it’s collaboration.”

The Album: A Statement of Purpose

Love Letters To Me is the first full-length release born from this human-AI partnership. For Harden, the project reflects his belief that technology should enhance – not replace – creativity.

“There’s always resistance to change,” he says. “Electronic music was once criticised. House music on pop radio faced pushback. Even DJ sync buttons were controversial. AI is simply the latest evolution of computer-assisted music creation. I named my AI partner ‘Soul Healer’ because the goal is simple: to create songs that heal.”

The album’s focus track, “Home Now,” captures that mission perfectly. It’s an uplifting pop anthem about finding peace within yourself after years of searching for validation externally – a triumphant reminder that sometimes the place you’ve been looking for has been inside you all along.

With Love Letters To Me, Duane Harden merges legacy and innovation, proving that reinvention – like house music itself – never truly goes out of style.
