More info About Mthuthu

Ntuthuko Ndebele, better known as Mthuthu, hails from Ulundi in Zululand and is deeply rooted in African culture. His musical journey began at an early age, nurtured through school competitions in music and drama.

After advocating for local talent at the Zululand Indonsa Arts and Craft Centre, Mthuthu transitioned from poetry and house music—collaborating with renowned DJs like Deejay Fresh and Euphonik—to a more mature and spiritually resonant sound.

In 2022, Mthuthu released INdumba, an African folk album exploring themes of spirituality. His collaborations with musical legends such as Dr. Madala Kunene, Themba Mokoena, and MXO have elevated his artistry, while performances on stages like the Durban Jazz Festival and the Indumba Music Tour have showcased his powerful presence.

Mthuthu’s music reflects his mission: to foster unity, honor ancient Zulu chants and storytelling, and inspire global healing through his melodic narratives. Recognized with multiple accolades, including Best Spiritual Singer at Ziveze Poetry Sessions, Mthuthu continues to use his platform to advocate for fairness and connection through music.

From humble beginnings to national recognition, Mthuthu remains a voice of healing and hope, carrying the spirit of his ancestors into a new era of African music.
