“Won’t You” is the latest release from South African indie pop duo, RAMDAZ. Brothers Vikshay and Vishekh spent their lockdown days in a creative cave, carefully crafting their fresh spin on a funky Nu-disco beat.
The pair used the Covid-19 pandemic to push their creative envelope. Apart from writing and composing their own music, this time round, RAMDAZ decided to take a more hands-on approach in conceptualising and designing their single artwork and producing their very first lyric video. The eye catching lyric video is a visual experience, depicting an encompassing narrative from the future of space travel.
RAMDAZ Comments on “Won’t You”
“Everyone knows the feeling of longing for someone to return, pretty much everyone at some stage has/will experience the feeling of wanting someone to “come back” and this is what ‘Won’t You’ is about. Whether you’re stranded on a distant planet all by yourself waiting for help or just sitting alone in your room, it’s totally up to the listener to interpret. Every single person has their own unique experiences and ‘Won’t You’ is about that journey.”
Since breaking out onto the local music landscape in 2017, the duo have grown from strength to strength, you can only expect bigger things to come from RAMDAZ in the near future.
