Xitsonga Afrofuturistic musician Rivoningo has presented her deeply personal and spiritual new single, “Xikwembu Xa Tintswalo” (God of Grace, God of Mercy).

Born from a season of hardship, what began as an honest prayer during one of the lowest moments in the artist’s life has evolved into a moving musical expression of faith, surrender, and hope.

The title itself carries a layered and intimate meaning, drawing from the names of loved ones to form the emotional and spiritual foundation of the song. It stands as a heartfelt plea for divine intervention, appealing for mercy, grace, and guidance in times of uncertainty.

Warm Instrumentation and Creative Production

Produced by multi-instrumentalist, producer, and creative visionary Thato Modika – who also lends his artistry on bass guitar – the track is both musically rich and emotionally resonant.

Modika’s warm, textured instrumentation perfectly grounds the spiritual message, allowing Rivoningo’s vocals to guide the listener through a journey of restoration and compassion.

The song ultimately serves as a powerful declaration of choosing life and faith, built on the foundational understanding of honoring God Most High to carry us through life’s inevitable challenges. It marks a confident stride forward in her signature sonic innovation.
