Rising Afropop star Sbahle is making a bold and beautiful statement with the release of her latest single, “Some More” – a powerful, landmark collaboration that brings together two of the most celebrated and beloved Afrosoul queens in the industry, Nhlanhla Mafu and Naima Kay.
Far more than just a standard musical collaboration, “Some More” represents a significant meeting of generations, unique vocal timbres, and distinct musical legacies within the modern South African Afropop and Afrosoul landscape.

The track beautifully captures the tenderness of love, the weight of longing, and the strength of commitment through poetic lyricism, lush, warm harmonies, and emotionally rich storytelling.
At the emotional center of the song lies the striking, evocative lyric: “Dilika dilika wey’ntaba zoKhlamba ngibone uLavo, ngifuna ukumunika uthando.”
This deeply romantic expression paints a vivid image of the Drakensberg mountains standing between two lovers. In the verse, Sbahle passionately calls for the mountains to fall, clearing the path so she can finally reach the person she loves and offer them the devotion she carries in her heart.
Inspired by raw romance and vulnerability, Sbahle notes that the single is a true reflection of who she is as both a woman and a creative force. “As a lover girl, I love speaking about love and the song is also an expression of love in a romantic manner,” she shares.
“Some More” Features Heartfelt Verses on Enduring Love
Adding a significant layer of emotional depth to the project is Nhlanhla Mafu’s heartfelt contribution. She delivers the poignant verse: “Ngikhumbula kudala sihamba loluhambo lwethu, bathi mina nawe sizophelela emoyeni,” which translates to: “I remember when our love journey started, people said it would end in thin air.”
The lyric speaks directly to the reality of an enduring love that manages to survive doubt, external criticism, and the negativity of outside voices – a powerful sentiment that is sure to resonate with a broad audience.
With its lush melodies and soulful vocal textures, “Some More” perfectly showcases Sbahle’s signature sound—one she intentionally describes as “broad, powerful, and intentional.” She explains, “With every song, I aim to touch people’s hearts individually. Everything I create is calculated and very intentional.”

Sbahle Honors Her Influences and Steps Into Her Power
The collaboration with Nhlanhla Mafu and Naima Kay is particularly meaningful for Sbahle, who cites both artists among the women who inspired her own musical journey, alongside icons such as Beyoncé and Brenda Mntambo. “I grew up listening to most of these artists and in some way they have helped me hone my creativity,” she says.
The release of “Some More” arrives during an exceptionally exciting season for Sbahle. She is currently in the midst of rolling out her latest project, Iscoco Sami (meaning “My Crown” in English), which was officially released on May 15. The project represents a definitive era of self-worth, personal growth, and stepping fully into her power as both an artist and a woman.
Born and raised in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, Sbahle has rapidly become one of Durban’s most promising voices. Her musical journey began under the guidance of her grandfather, a musician who helped nurture her raw talent and passion for performance from a young age.
Over the years, she has earned widespread recognition through hit songs like “Emlanjeni” and “Ngiyazifela.” With “Some More” now available on Spotify and all other major streaming platforms, Sbahle invites listeners to experience a body of work that reflects her confidence and her continuous evolution as a vital new voice in African music.
