On Friday last week, Cape Town’s David Watkyns released “Singing At Your Window”, his latest single and accompanying music video. A prolific songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, David is well-known as a trumpeter and keyboardist for the rock supergroup Springbok Nude Girls.

In addition to his contributions to the iconic Springbok Nude Girls, David Watkyns has an impressive portfolio of session and songwriting credits, collaborating with industry legends such as Mike Rutherford (Genesis, Mike and the Mechanics), Jack Hardman (Good Boy), Zolani Mahola (Freshlyground), Judith Sephuma, Jimmy Dludu, Majozi, and numerous emerging artists from Cape Town, including the talented Gabriela Diamond.
Having graced stages across Africa, Europe, and Asia, including notable events such as the Isle of Wight Festival (UK), St Paul’s Cathedral (UK), Oppikoppi (SA), and Rocking the Daisies (SA), David Watkyns continues to leave an indelible mark on the global music scene.
