South African vocal powerhouse Paige joins forces with rising artist Msongi on a poignant and powerful new single, “Mbuyisele Ekhaya”—a stirring protest anthem that gives voice to the ongoing crisis of gender-based violence (GBV).

Translating to “Take Her Back Home” in isiZulu, the track is an emotional tribute to the women and girls who have gone missing, been taken, or tragically lost to violence.

Driven by raw emotion and deep cultural resonance, “Mbuyisele Ekhaya” blends soulful harmonies, haunting melodies, and African-rooted instrumentation to honour those who never made it back home. Paige and Msongi channel grief into courage, delivering a call for justice that feels both intimate and urgent.

“This song is for every woman who didn’t make it back,” says Paige. “We’re done mourning in silence—this is our cry for change.” Msongi adds: “We created this to demand more than awareness—we want accountability and action.”

The track’s soundscape merges traditional vocal textures with contemporary production, capturing a deep emotional duality—mourning layered with resilience. The result is a piece that feels deeply personal yet echoes far beyond the individual. More than a single, “Mbuyisele Ekhaya” is a rallying cry for a country—and a continent—in search of justice and healing.

For Paige, the release also marks another milestone in her evolution as an artist with purpose, while introducing Msongi as a bold new voice not afraid to challenge the status quo through art.

More info about Paige

Born and raised in South Africa, Paige is a dynamic talent whose journey from law student to viral music sensation has inspired a new generation.

Hailing from Mabopane in Pretoria and later raised in Brits and Mafikeng, Paige discovered her love for music early on.

Though gospel legends like Benjamin Dube and Sizwe Zakho once hoped to see her lead their worship teams, her parents urged her to focus on education—an advice she followed with remarkable balance.

Paige pursued a law degree while quietly nurturing her artistry, eventually finding her breakthrough moment in 2021 with producer Sdala B on the EP Ngiyazifela Ngawe.

The deluxe version included her viral hit “Ghanama (Zulu Version)”, a deeply heartfelt cover that resonated with millions and dominated streaming platforms across the continent.

Her unmistakable vocal strength and authenticity quickly earned her a loyal following, with chart-topping success, headline performances, and viral YouTube videos to her name. In 2022, she proudly graduated with a law degree—an inspiring achievement that reflects her discipline and versatility.

Now signed to Open Mic Productions, one of South Africa’s most influential music labels, Paige continues to evolve as an artist who brings both passion and purpose to her craft.

Her recent single “Phakade” further showcases her growth, backed by a captivating music video that highlights her ability to tell deeply emotional stories through song.

With “Mbuyisele Ekhaya”, Paige and Msongi are not just making music—they’re making a statement.
