Durban artists Sheen Skaiz and Kyle Deutsch have reunited alongside renowned producer Sketchy Bongo for their brand-new single, “On The Way.” The track is available now as part of Sheen Skaiz’s debut EP, Big Spoeks Vol. 1.

Blending elements of Pop, Hip-Hop, and R&B, “On The Way” brings together three artists whose creative paths have crossed for over a decade.

The song is driven by Kyle Deutsch’s soulful melodies, Sheen Skaiz’s introspective verses, and Sketchy Bongo’s polished production. It explores the highs and lows of modern relationships, capturing the emotional push and pull of distance, disagreement, and eventual reconciliation.

“This song has been on the way from the first moment Sheen played me the beat,” says Kyle Deutsch. “We wrote the hook and verse in the same session and thought it was dope. Sheen dropped his fire bars, and Sketchy then brought the sauce it needed to polish it off.”

Sheen Skaiz approached the writing process with deliberate focus: “Every bar had to mean something. I was going deep into the push and pull of relationships, the arguments, the distance, the reconciliation, and trying to turn that emotional cycle into real rap craftsmanship.”

Sketchy Bongo: An influential producer and visionary known for his ability to blend genres and craft chart-topping hits that provide the perfect backdrop for emotional storytelling.
